All my furniture pieces are 3D printed and finished in various media. They may look squidgy but they are solid but you would never know looking at them.
The fabric that some are covered with is printed on very fine vilene and adhered to the piece - it does not have any pile but is smooth to the touch and looks very realistic and true to scale.
